The great world of knowledge of WAS IST WAS as an entertaining podcast

Task:

Together with the Tessloff publishing house, we had the idea at the end of 2020 to implement the successful books of the WAS IST WAS series as a podcast in the form of exciting knowledge stories. Based on the books, the topics were to be selected for audio and the target group, processed and presented in an exciting way.

Our tasks included researching and booking the authors. We cast and booked the speakers for the production and then took over the coordination and scheduling of the recordings (studio, direction, sound, technology). We also took care of the post-production (editing, sound, title melody, effects, music) and the creation of the logo and cover sequences and the distribution with our audio team.

Implementation:

In close coordination with the client, we have produced and published a total of 9 episodes since March 2021. The running time of each podcast is between 12 and 26 minutes. Matching covers were designed for each podcast and an eye-catching logo for the series was implemented for better visibility on Spotify, Apple, Google and the other providers.

On the content .

A team of facilitators provides the framework and introduces each topic in a way that is appropriate for the target group before moving on to the content. These are acted out/spoken with the help of the book and thus staged in an exciting way. The following topics have already been successfully produced:

  • Planets and Space - Chat with Aliens
  • Bees and wasps - In conversation with a drone
  • The Human Body - Attack of the Microbe
  • Renewable raw materials - the garden of the future
  • Ancient Rome - A chariot race in the Circus Maximus
  • Volcanoes - The eruption of Vesuvius and the fall of Pompeii
  • Planets and Space - Walk in Space
  • Weather and climate - what is it actually?
  • Ancient Egypt - A Great Discovery
