KB&B produces true crime radio play series for kids
KB&B expands its audio portfolio - Successful start for the joint project ERWISCHT! ZEITREISE INS VERBRECHEN by LEONINE Kids and ZEIT LEO:
  • Number 1 in the Apple Podcast Charts in the "Children & Families" category
  • Fulminant entry into the Top 50 of the Apple Podcast overall charts

Hamburg, 31 January 2022 - At the beginning of the year, LEONINE Kids and ZEIT LEO launched their joint TrueCrime audio drama series for children. WIPED OUT! TIME TRAVEL INTO CRIME. The audio project was developed and produced by KB&B, the leading special agency for family and children's marketing from Hamburg. ERWISCHT! not only captivates young and old listeners with a classic, paid radio play series; young crime fans can also enjoy free, approx. 15-minute podcast episodes. The podcast episodes appear every three weeks at the same time as the 45-minute radio play episodes and offer a content supplement around the child-friendly adventures of the three kids David, Jonas and Emma: With their magical book, they are on the trail of the most historically significant crimes in world history.

With ERWISCHT!ZEITREISE INS VERBRECHEN, the next audio hit from KB&B is conquering the German-speaking market, after the agency already made a name for itself in the podcast business with productions for well-known clients such as Edeka, Deutsche Bahn, WAS IST WAS and Step by Step. Since setting up their own unit in 2019, the creative minds at KB&B have regularly applied their decades of expertise in the children's and family sector to the production of podcasts and other audio content for the young target group. The Hamburg-based full-service agency is thus taking on a pioneering role in the podcast market and is also fully in line with the trend: "According to our latest Kinder & Audio study, 86.5 percent of children consume audio content every day. A huge potential that we want to continue to exploit together with our clients in the future and develop with exciting, child-oriented branded audio projects. In doing so, we accompany companies from the idea, through production and distribution, to the marketing of the finished product," says Rolf Kosakowski, founder and managing director of KB&B.

Anyone who listens to ERWISCHT! ZEITREISE INS VERBRECHEN will find that the format from the one-stop shop of family marketing experts not only impresses with its high-quality sound and professional speakers, but also with its innovative concept and editorial finesse. Shortly after its launch, the series already met with a brilliant response from listeners and stormed straight to No. 1 in the Apple Podcast Charts in the "Children & Families" category! ERWISCHT! also made it into the most popular formats in the overall charts of the audio platform at number 50 and is promoted by the Apple editorial team as "New and noteworthy" on the homepage.

On the content.

David, Jonas and Emma have a mysterious book that allows them to travel through time and experience true crimes of the past first-hand. So they are present at the great mail train robbery of England in 1963, the theft of the Mona Lisa in 1911, Egyptian grave robbers or the pirates of the Caribbean. But their magic book holds a dangerous secret and many dark figures are on the lookout for it, so David, Jonas and Emma run into great dangers in real life too.

WISHED! ZEITREISE INS VERBRECHEN is a cooperation between LEONINE Kids and ZEIT LEO in collaboration with KB&B. The radio play episodes are suitable for children from the age of seven and are available as a digital stream on all popular platforms, as well as on CD in stores from 8 April 2022. The free podcast can be found wherever podcasts are available - and additionally in the HEAROOZ app, the only child-safe and child-friendly podcast app.
